Julie reviews Marrying Mr. English, Part 2 by Katy Regnery

You've all met the children and Eleanora and Tom English…but how exactly did down-on-her luck waitress, Eleanora Watters, meet trust fund hottie, Tom English?

You won't want to miss this Christmas novel that tells the story of how Eleanora met Tom, while he was visiting Vail in the 1980s.

After reading part one of Tom and Eleanora’s story and how the English family started, I quickly fell in love with this couple and couldn’t wait to get my hands on part two.  From the uncanny start of their relationship to present time, you get a beautiful love story that will make your heart smile.

In part two, we find out if Tom’s grandfather changed his mind about giving Tom his inheritance and what the couple endured after being banished from Tom’s luxurious lifestyle.  Tom and Eleanora didn’t have it easy by any means but their love was steadfast and never wavered.  No matter what sacrifices they had to make, Tom really proved himself to be the man his grandfather always wanted him to be.  His grandfather was quite a man to be reckoned with and I found myself so angry with him until I realized his actual intentions for Tom’s future.  Eleanora is a special woman in the way she intervened with good old grandpa and showed everyone how strong her love for Tom is.

Eleanora is one of the strongest female characters I have seen in a long time.  She may not have come from an elegant lifestyle but that doesn’t make her any less graceful.  Along with a good old slap that I will never forget, she proved she wouldn’t back down from what she really wanted, and that was Tom.

She has sass, stood up for herself, and wouldn’t let anyone walk on her.  Tom and Eleanora have this one of a kind relationship that is rare and hard to find in books or in life.  I think I love the English family a little more now, knowing how the men got their start and their good hearts.

Katy’s writing is always enticing and her characters are remarkable. I love how their story was told by Eleanora to the ladies, and even all those years later, you can feel they have an amazing family.  Eleanora and Tom are quite witty and I found myself giggling like a teenager while reading their sweet story.  Their family is definitely a rare one that has really stood the test of time and I encourage you to read this 5 star book and be captivated by their love.
