What I Read This Week
The Will by Kristen Ashley
The Will is the story of Josephine (Josie) who goes home to settle her Grandmother's estate, but instead finds a family. This was a solid Kristen Ashley book. if you've read her books before you know what to expect: alpha guy, headstrong woman, sweetness, and hot sex. The Will does not disappoint. Josie was a little "uppity" in the beginning but we get to see her softer side when she puts down her armor with Jake and his kids. I enjoyed this new Kristen novel... It wasn't my favorite of hers, but it was good and well worth the read.
Take Me for Granted by KA Linde
The beginning of this book put a big grin on my face. Grant is not used to getting turned down by women. As a musician for the band Contraband he pretty much has his pick of the ladies. Except Aribel. She is focused on her studies and isn't interested in giving away her virginity to a random guy in a bar. the sparring between these two characters was delightful. For the most part this was your average rocker romance. Fun, flirty, sexy, and satisfying. However, it wouldn't be a KA Linde book without a cliffhanger. its a small one though, you'll survive! Read and enjoy!
Fallen Crest Public by Tijan
This is the third book in the Fallen Crest Series. You must read them in order so start with Fallen Crest High. This is one of my favorite series. I'm a sucker for smart, snarky teenagers! This was the most action packed book to date, and in my opinion the most satisfying. We get to see scheming at its best with revenge in sight. I delighted in the final moments, watching how every delicious event fell into place. If you've read the previous novels you won't want to miss this explosive gem!
