Julie's Week In Review

What I Read This Past Week

Maybe Someday by Colleen Hoover
I want to praise Colleen for writing, yet again, such a great book. Her writing always blows me away and this one didn’t let me down. As much as I hated Ridge for his decisions, I still loved him. This book was so different from others that I have read and even with saying that, it is so unique. The little twist was something I was not expecting but really worked to be a touching story. I laughed and cried and give this book 4.5 stars.

Saving Dallas Forever by Kim Jones
I had just finished book one and two and couldn’t wait to get my hands on this one and I wasn’t disappointed. Luke is one sexy, alpha male and I loved seeing them fight for their relationship. Dallas is one strong woman and I loved seeing how much she grew from book one. I really enjoyed this series and if you want a hot and sexy but yet tender man, Luke is one you want to read about and I give this one 4 stars.

Lick by Kylie Scott
First I want to say thanks to Danielle for telling me about this one. I always love a good rocker book and this hooked me from the start. David is so different from many rocker manwhores you read about. He has such a good heart and left me breathless at times. He is one persistent man and I was really ‘wowed’ by him and give this book 4.5 stars.

Searching for Beautiful by Nyrae Dawn
As soon as I saw this book, I knew it was one I wanted to read. I liked it but I just didn’t love it. Maybe I was in the wrong frame of mind because I wasn’t expecting such a sad book. If you’re like me, you have to be in the mood for certain books so maybe I should have stopped it and started it later. I mean, it was a good story, and I’m glad to read it, don’t get me wrong. I give it 3.5 stars so just pick it up and try it.

Angel’s Halo by Teri Anne Browning
I always love a good MC book and Bash really lived up to being one badass. He was so tough as President but had a really sweet and tender side to him that I was not expecting. Raven was born into the MC and had loved him since she was a teenager. She had her heart broken by him and didn’t know if she could trust him. She really fought her emotions and I loved how she grew to be such a mature woman. It had a great story but nothing that really blew me away and I give this book 3.5 stars.

Always Remember by Sheila Seabrook
If you believe in first love, then this is one for you. Nate and Jessie were brought back together by fate and they both had a deep secret. What made this book so good for me was that the secret is what united them in the end. This book is so tender and so moving. Nate is one hot cowboy you want to check out and I give this book 4 stars.

Game Changer by Paula Marinaro
Where do I even start with this one? Well, Diego is another big badass of a MC club. Once he saw Raine, he knew he wanted her. Raine and Diego had this love/hate relationship and some of his decisions really broke my heart. With that being said, this book needs an overhaul from an editor to a proofreader. It could have been a really great story but it does need work.

Lingering Echoes by Erica Keifer
Allie and Damien were brought together through the most unusual circumstances. She had suffered a tragic loss and was trying to move forward and Damien had such an awful secret. I love to see how they worked through their issues and really opened up to each other. Also, with Aaron, who also wanted Allie, being thrown into the story really tore at my heart. What a decision she had to make!! This was such a different kind of book and I really felt each of their pain and give this book 4.5 stars.
