Sam's first day at Fallen Crest Public doesn't go well. Some girls want to be her. Some girls want to destroy her. And some just don't like her. All in all, despite being protected by Mason and Logan, it's still only the strong survive. Sam will not only have to survive, she needs to learn how to conquer too, but there's another battle growing. Things are about to come to a disastrous end between the towns, Roussou and Fallen Crest. Sam's other main dilemma? Keeping Mason and Logan from getting arrested or hospitalized.
This is the third book in the Fallen Crest Series.
Fallen Crest High
Fallen Crest Family
Fallen Crest Public
You have to, I repeat, HAVE to pick up the first two books in this series and read them as soon as possible! Do not read any of this review if you haven’t or you might spoil a couple of things for yourself. And really, none of this will make much sense, either.
In the beginning of this book our trio is just starting the last semester of the year, Mason’s last at Fallen Crest Public and Sam’s first. My favorite little couple is as intensely hot as always, things are hectic, people are mean, and drama is everywhere.
“Logan thought this was going to be fun, but he had no idea. It was going to get ugly. I knew it, and I was ready for it.”
Let me just say that this was by far my favorite Fallen Crest book. Why, you ask? Oh, well, probably because we got a little peek inside Mr. Mason’s gorgeous head. Sam’s father, David, seems like he is ready to mend fences, and Sam gets a new matronly figure in her life, a good one—finally. We also get to see Sam go full badass a couple of times. And of course, we finally get to experience firsthand Logan and Mason’s celebrity status on their own school turf.
“It’s true. We’re like a walking Hallmark card, full of quotes and bible verses. We make people feel like they’ve been touched by an angel.”
It was divine.
All the key players were involved in this one—Nate, Heather, Tate, the Tommy Princesses, even Jackass Jeff made an appearance— and drama was in full force. So much shit went down, so much malicious vindictiveness; I was on the edge of my seat as I turned every single page. And my heart? Oh my poor heart! I am definitely a little more than unhappy with one of my favorite characters! For shame! But as it drew to a close, all felt right with this little fictional world. That is until the ending!
“I knew where it was going, but I didn’t want to know. I didn’t want to hear the words and I began to shake my head. Things were good. Things were better than good. The three of use were united again. Mason and I were together. I needed him…”
Oh the ending was something I saw coming from book one, but the way this little nugget of information was laid out for Sam, I was not happy! Ooooh! That character that delivers it really pisses me off, and I hope we are rid of her for good!
Nevertheless, Tijan has got some ‘splaining to do!
With the way events unfolded throughout this book, I am really hoping the next one won’t include a love triangle! I do not want anything coming between Sam and Mason, or them and any of the rest of the characters in this series. Well, the ones I love at least. That being said, I also cannot wait to feel the elevated levels of angst only this series provides, and given the circumstances, I am thinking they will be sooo much higher in the next installment.
Fallen Crest Public was definitely a five star read for me! Hopefully we won’t have to wait much longer for Fallen Fourth Down! I need to know what is next, I am dying over here!
