Review: Vixen in Vegas by Emma Nichols

It was supposed to be a week of simply being, of living in the moment, and enjoying every minute while it lasted. Of course, that kind of intoxication can have lingering effects. For Sin, she found herself wanting to break all the rules, to extend her time with the stranger who stole her heart. Vegas was just the right kind of place to take such a gamble. Meeting up with BE at the gondolas was a risk. Love went against everything they had promised, but the best things in life can’t be planned.

Soon Alysin will be tested.
After guarding her heart for so long, she finally let a man in and discovered that the worst things in life happened when she least expected them. When she walked in on BE with another woman and overheard their heated conversation, she suddenly remembered there was a reason she made these rules.
Will broken rules lead to broken hearts or will she realize that though love was a gamble, she was all in?

Vixen in Vegas picks up right where Sin at Sea left off. Alysin, aka Sin, has spent a week with B.E. and has fallen in love. The problem is she doesn’t do love. She is use to running from any type of committed relationship and this relationship with B.E. has her so confused.

I don’t do love. Only now…with BE, maybe I did. All I knew for certain was that one week wasn’t enough. We had more story to tell, more life to live, more experiences to be had. He made me feel things in a way I never had before. He made me want things I had never wanted…like permanence. Shoot, I might even consider breaking all my rules for him.

With a little push and shove from her best friend Jolie the two pack up everything and move once again. Sin still has doubts but Jolie is prepared to make sure Sin follows her heart this time. The two make it to Vegas and that is where sparks fly again. The chemistry between B.E. and Sin is still just as explosive as it was in Sin at Sea but this time B.E. wants more and is willing to push Sin.

“Maybe this a good time for us to renegotiate the terms of our relationship,” he suggested gently.

Not only do they renegotiate their terms by learning each other’s names but they break rules. They learn so much more about one another and their relationship becomes stronger. The problem is someone is keeping a secret! I’m not going to tell you who or what it is though because you need to read this book to find out!

Vixen in Vegas is very different from Sin at Sea. Sin at Sea was fun and hot but Vixen in Vegas is a much more emotional story. Yes there are still plenty of steamy sex scenes but the relationship between B.E. and Sin is much more serious. The love they share is tested! This is such a moving story about love, fears and life. See life isn’t always rainbows and butterflies and these two experience it firsthand. I loved this book so much and I won’t say anything else because I don’t want to give anything away! The only reason it isn’t getting five stars is because I felt like the ending was a little rushed. I wanted more. I wanted a better explanation about what happened and how it happened. I know that doesn’t make much since to you know but after you read it you will understand.
